I’ve been toying with the idea of selling premade mixes on this site. Both “retail” sizes and possibly commercial sizes too. I need feedback from the community!
First let me say:
I’m not looking to ‘push’ anyone into having to purchase a kit from me. The recipe ingredients are freely available for anyone to make their own mixes.
With that said, I do wonder if the convenience of being able to purchase ready-to-use mixes would appeal to some of the community here.
Looking around I do see dedicated gluten-free copacking companies in the market that could prepare my recipes at scale and safely. But of course there are minimum order quantities so I need to understand if the demand is there first before I am sitting on a small mountain of mix and nowhere to ship it! 
So a few questions for you:
- Is prepared mix something you would consider, or are you more the type of person to make your own mixes?
- Do you currently buy any GF mixes? How much mix is included in your purchase, and at what price? Does it feel like a good value to you?
- Thinking about biscuit mix right now, how much mix should come in a kit? ~4lbs of mix would make about 4 dozen biscuits with leftover mix to use as bench flour. But I wonder if 4lbs of mix would be too much of a commitment for anyone just looking to try the recipe for the first time.
- If you would be interested in commercial sizes, we should hop on a 1-on-1 chat because I’d really like to understand the unique needs from a commercial prospective. Hit me up in my DM’s!
