This is sort of related to my Detroit-style pizza recipe. Because once you know how to make that recipe, you pretty much also learned the technique to create fantastic GF sandwich breads.
Sandwiches are like a perfect food. I sorta discovered this recipe while learning to make the pizza and it gave me a lot of pause. I started feeling like what I should actually be doing was creating a sandwich shop. These are so good.
I’d love to do a few recipes on how to make great sandwich breads in a couple different formats. The big rectangular ones are cooked in a Detroit pizza pan. Later I also started experimenting with longer sub-roll type formats.
And then with the basic recipes out there it would be a lot of fun to expand on that to show off some great deli-style sandwiches you can make at home. Just a few techniques to dress the greens properly and stack your sandwich the right way makes a huge difference to the experience. And there are practically unlimited combinations we could explore.
